If you haven't seen it yet, watch tonight's episode to see why this is my favorite show. And, reluctantly, the wife's favorite show, too.
This episode is truly representative. The writing is so clever, the actors sell it all to you effortlessly, and even though covering old ground, the writers manage to make it all fresh and new. Each and every episode.
What amazes me, is how though there are several story lines running through the mythos of the show, each episode manages to stand by itself, independent of all the other episodes. Sometimes they do story arcs, and sometimes they rejoin the main story line(s), but still, every show can be watched just for itself.
And any show that can be absolutely horrifying, and hysterically funny, at the same time, gets my vote. That is an art form, difficult to pull off in any medium.
And I always like it when major characters get killed off. Keeps you on your toes.
